Faber Castell AG is known for making pens, pencils, office supplies, art materials, and luxury leather goods. Headquartered in Stein, Germany, it operates factories and stores in 14 countries across the globe. The design of the booth aimed to illustrate the versatility of the space, showcasing how it could serve as an engaging art room, perfect for attracting kids to hang out while also effectively displaying the company’s products for all to see.
Challenge
The challenge entailed maximizing the use of the space by exploring various design options for the exterior, ensuring flexibility without altering the existing layout. Additionally, product organization was carefully considered to ensure it is consistent with the primary objective: creating a welcoming environment for children and parents to engage with the products comfortably. This involved strategically arranging the items to complement the overall ambiance and facilitate exploration without overwhelming the space.
Solution
The solution encompassed presenting two facade options: one featuring a sleek and modern storefront, while the other boasted a more intricate castle-inspired facade complete with a bridge. Both designs seamlessly integrated the exterior wall aesthetics into the interior, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious atmosphere throughout the booth. Beneath each design, individual light towers were strategically placed to illuminate the tables positioned below, allowing for optimal visibility of the products on display. Additionally, the cashier table was strategically situated on the left side of the booth, providing a convenient and accessible checkout area for customers.
